A finished stack and an editable edition serve different purposes. Save the editable edition for yourself; distribute a deliberately reviewed copy to other people.
What the edition JSON contains
| Kept | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Original cells and source record/line positions | Compare an edit with the imported wording, including columns you did not print. |
| Stable source and card IDs | Keep references consistent when cards move. |
| Current text, order and exclusions | Resume a class-specific selection without losing discarded variants. |
| Reviewed groups and print settings | Continue the same edition rather than reconstructing its decisions. |
| Recent editing history | Up to 300 events for context; not a complete immutable audit log. |
Original filenames are optional and off by default. Removing them does not anonymize the file: original text and chapter labels can still contain identities, dates or restricted material. The source hash is a byte fingerprint recorded at import, not a digital signature or proof that a restored JSON has never been edited.
Resume without losing work
Use Save / open → Download editable edition. Keep that JSON somewhere private. To resume, choose a saved edition in the same menu. A valid file replaces the current edition; save your current work first. Invalid files are rejected without replacing it.
There is no account, automatic cloud backup or automatic local-storage save. Closing or reloading the tab loses unsaved edits. Clearing the edition removes tab-held records but does not delete files already downloaded to your device.
Choose the handout
Use a checked PDF for paper cutting. Use the reading-copy HTML when readers need questions and answers in a continuous document. The HTML has no scripts or external resources, but you must still review its text before publishing. Neither export includes a promise that the answers are correct.
If you publish your own download page
This step is only for a teacher or organizer who already distributes their own original material. Open the exact public download page in a fresh browser context and follow the link as a recipient. Check that the file is visible without your author login and that its title and contents match the intended edition.
WebTraceCheck can help inspect that public page from a separate browser state. Your normal browser in a separate profile is another option. A successful download check does not establish answer accuracy, PDF accessibility or permission to distribute the material.
If you email an attachment
From your existing sender, send a small synthetic sample to a temporary test inbox. Open the received message and download the attachment to check the recipient path. CleanTempMail offers a temporary inbox for that non-sensitive test. Delivery depends on your sender and the receiving service; this site neither sends mail nor guarantees delivery.
Do not send student records or private course packets to a disposable mailbox. Do not use it for your main Google or school account, recovery address or long-term delivery. Personal offline study does not need either service.
CardQuire, WebTraceCheck and CleanTempMail share an operator. These optional links carry campaign labels for this page, never card text or filenames. The linked services have their own policies.
